A Cincinnati firefighter and two civilians were injured in an apartment fire Tuesday.
The blaze broke out at about 4 p.m. in an apartment building in the city's Avondale neighborhood, WLWT-TV reports. Crews arriving at the scene encountered heavy flames on the building's two floors.
People trapped on the second floor of the burning building jumped out windows to flee the fire. Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A firefighter suffered minor injuries and also was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Nearly 55 firefighters responded to the blaze, and it took them about 15 minutes to control the fire. The blaze caused about $120,000 in damage to the apartment building, and its cause is under investigation.
